I am travelling to Nashville Tennessee under the esta (visa waiver, Norwegian citizen), And I am considering buying a car and re-sell it rather than renting while I am there...
Does anyone know the regulations on this or if it is possible at all. How about insurance?

I have helped 14 TP members buy vehicles in Vegas. Each state has different laws, but generally a foreigner can buy, insure, register and drive in the US without a major problems. I do not know the laws in TN, but you do need to check that they will let you register a vehicle with your DL. Most states will, some won't. You will also need a local address to insure and register you vehicle. Good luck.
