I might be arriving early August most likely landing in Bangkok, will I be able to do much? i've heard a few people say the weather will be wet all day but then others say it's the best time to travel and the weather is still good...

Hey Ryan,
Think you replied to my post also! Just regarding costs etc, my sis did similar route and estimated if you'd €1600 per month max you could travel very comfortably and get to see all you wanted. If you'd €1000 per month you'd get by but would be not staying in half decent hostels, seeing as much as there is to!

No worries Ryan, I had planned to do 18day adventure in China start of Oct but it looks like it's a National Holiday Week 1st week of Oct and country will be mental so will have to think about that one! If not it'll be onto Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam/Laos for me! Have nothing planned as of yet apart from listing places I want to see! Meeting travel agent specialist on Friday to discuss route so hopefully get things going then! Have you looked at Lonely Planet Travel Companions website also? Few people on there doing similar route to us around same time! We could set up little private group if people wanted to share ideas easily??

Yeah that sounds good, I havent really looked on lonely planet forums, are they good?
There is so much I need to do its getting frustrating now lol, I still need travel insurance and have no idea what to get... i'm going to be away for atleast 6months and thats before I go to Aus. I still need to get everything I will need aswell lol going to be a busy month I think.
