HELP needed for booking my flights to BKK

RC2012 has indicated that this thread is about Asia

Hey Ryan,

I done exactly the same a few years ago except i flew to HK, so,

I'm pretty sure you will be fine, you are just another one in a long line of backpackers arriving in the madness of Bangkok, they will issue a 30 day visa on arrival and you will be set, Bangkok is also a great base to sort out other visa's, you defo need to apply for your Vietnamese visa in advance and if you want significant time in Loa or Cambodia its easy enough to arrange these in BKK too.
Malaysia gives you a visa as you enter as does Singapore, if you venture to the Phillipines also you get 21 days on arrival, however there is so much to see and do in the Phillipines 21 days will only scratch the surface. Burma i'm not entirely sure about.

Good luck, safe travels,

Andy

One way flights are very expensive compared to return flights.

You do not need proof of onwards travel. Just tell them where you are planning to go next.

See if you can book an open ticket as you do not have a return date. Be aware that when you do want to come back, you cannot decide to leave next day and expect a seat. Book weeks in advance if possible.

book a cheap ticket to Kuala lumpar before you 30 days are up and then fly back to bangkok.

id book this before arrival in bangkok though to prove you have an onwards flight.

My flight is now booked for Aug 2nd, the Airline have said I might need proof as they can denie me from boaring at Gatwick without proof of onwards travel...

I've heard so many mixed reviews of people saying they were asked for proof but then others just say nobody asked anywhere and they only booked a 1 way ticket.

I dont know what to do....
