I'm from the US, a year from now I'd really like to travel around europe. The only problem is I'll be only 19 by then. Should I wait until I'm 21 to take my anticipated journey instead?
Europe (and for that matter, almost the entire world) doesn't have the insanely uptight laws/regulations that American teens have to put up with so in terms of being treated like an adult (bars, clubs, etc.) then there's absolutely no reason to wait until you're 21 to travel.
LOTS of people in their late teens are backpacking all over the world. It's normal.
Have fun.
Cheers,
Terry
Thanks so much for the insite terry!
Terry's right. When I travelled around the world, the travellers I met ranged from 17 years old upwards. Enjoy!
Don´t worry Cracbag,
in every European country majority starts at 18 so you won´t encounter any legal problems. And there are plenty of people your age traveling through Europe. Just go ahead, it´ll be a great experience!
if anything i would recommend it more, as isn't it 21 to have any fun in the US? So You'll love Europe! Go for it babe!!

Thanks you guys !
I was 19 the first time I went to Europe. It's a great age to travel.
I was 18 when I first travelled to Europe and had a fantastic time. As others have said, you will have no problems at all.
The only place you'll run into an issue is if you want to rent a car (usually must be 25+) or go to some higher end casinos (21+). There's not really a whole lot of reasons to do either on your first trip to Europe though.
