I am new here, I am glad I found this forum, because next week I am thinking to come in London, for the first time with my girlfriend, for a couple of days and we need a taxi from airport, we checked on the internet and there are lots of car services, at this moment I am between -snip- and I think we have to book within a few days, please if you have any advice to give me, I will be glad to receive it, also about places, places to eat, any idea is welcomed . thanks in advance !
Is there a reason why you need a taxi? You didn't say which airport you'll be flying into, but I assume it will be Heathrow?
There are many options for getting into London from Heathrow. The airport is on the city underground network. Plus there are bus and shuttle transfers from the airport directly to your hotel (google "Heathrow Airbus" and "Heathrow Shuttle" for more info).
Taxis from the airport into the city are very expensive, so unless there is a specific reason to take one, it will probably make more sense for you to take a train, bus or shuttle.

London is an amazing city and there are plenty of things to do and see. Natural History museum is very interesting and plenty more! Taxis are EXTREMELY expensive in London and I agree, using the tube or buses is likely to be your best option. As for places to eat, there is more than enough choice when you get there so take your pick!
