Thailand for 10 days

hameagain has indicated that this thread is about Thailand

Because it has been such a popular backpacker destination for decades Thailand has some of the best coverage in guide books you'll find anywhere.

Have fun with your research.

Cheers,
Terry

Wow Terry If I'd thought of that why would I need this web page

Well, it will be a serious whirlwind but I would say do Bangkok for one night. Get yourself to Full Moon Party by Catamaran. Do the beach thing and just stay on Hat Rin (the beach where the Full Moon Party is). There are cool places that are really close to Bangkok like Ayutthaya and Kanchanaburi. They could technically be done in a day.
If you have other specific questions, feel free to ask me. I have some good advice on accomodation and transportation and stuff.
Thought I'd include Full Moon Party schedule too so you can see what date it will be happening. http://www.fullmoonpartykohphangan.com/schedule_dates/2012.htm

Thanks heaps Loraine! I'll have a look at this now. Yes 10 days is nothing so I want to see what I can see without rushing around and needing another holiday!!! I will be back to do and see more.

Thanks again once I've had a look will be in touch

Loriane

Where else are there full moon parties as I am not there then

Im in Thailand from the 9th-19th July 2012.

Thanks

PS I'll be flying from Oz do u suggest I fly in to Bangkok?

As you don't have much time, a quick look in at the FMP if possible, plane to Chiang Mai with a look around and an excursion or trek from there. Plane to Bangkok for a look at the sites Grand Palace, Temple of Emerald Buddha, Wimanmek Palace, river cruise, etc, and do some serious shopping as there is a fantastic selection of stuff at good prices (check out Silom night market and a few malls like Mah Boon Krong). Trip to Bridge over River Kwai and Ayutthaya. Bangkok has a safari park.

It's a long way to go to waste your time on beaches. You can do that on your next visit to Australia if you have none near you in NZ.

AirAsia is cheapish for flights but you have to book early.
