Hi, My name Lucy, im 24 and from England (cumbria), I have been single for the last 7 months and decided lifes to short to just stay in the same place so have decided to go travelling. I have got together loads of advice from mates that have travelled and have family in Dubai, America & Oz. Im currently going solo and most my friends are settled or have commitments so im looking for a travel buddy....preferably someone who likes a laugh, outgoing, funny sense of humour, laidback and generally loves a laugh! The places i would like to go are Thailand (full moon party etc), Oz (working), china (maybe), America, Dubai & figi... im pretty flexible tho.....if you have any advice or are thinking the same message me

Im heading to Oz on 23rd sept looking on doing thailand for the full moon party.
Im currently doing it alone as my mates have got no bottle to leave the city ha.
First stop is going to be Cairns, Plan is to find a little job there then head down the coast to Sydney. I would'nt mind doing Bali for christmas see how things work out.

To be fair the plan in my head it pretty vauge! I want to see as much as i can but obviously it all depends on how much more i can get saved this year.
Asia is defo the place i want to start and wouldnt mind seeing as much of that country as possible...china im not really bothered about... n figi thats somewhere id like to see!
im up for going anytime after october 2011 because by that point i hope to have saved my small fortune to be able to do everything.
Im happy to meet up with anybody i meet on here n think its pretty cool to stay in touch.
I would ideally like to start my travels with someone just so im not too scared going solo so happy to start with someone...

Just a heads up: I hear it's still "rainy season" in Thailand in oct. Nov seems to be the beginning of better travelling weather there.
I too am looking to travel and seem to be in the same situation as you (solo female traveller, frnds getting married and popping out babies w no time to go to full moon parties lol). I haven't set any timelines or plans just yet but this site seems to be a great travel resource. Reading the forums w comments from like minded people is refreshing and inspiring- thanks

Hiya lucy my name is nick am 22 from north east england am also recently single and have mates that all have comittments such as jobs kids relationships so am going travelling by myself in autumn 2011 am laid back and always up for a laugh would love to get to know you am thinking of austrailia and thialand and then wherever money can take me. I have plenty of friends in aussieland and usa that are able to spare couches and beds. I would love to hear from anybody else planning on travelling.
