I'm going to be in NZ Aug-Oct, travelling alone, and I'm arriving from Chile too! Which day are you flying?
I know, it's pretty scary going alone but so many people do it and you'll meet loads of people when you're out there! That's what I keep telling myself anyway!!
Are you travelling in SOuth America first then? What are your plans for NZ and OZ?

I leave Chile on 30th July and arri in NZ on 1st Aug at Auckland, how about you??
I keep telling myself that too, most people do it alone so am sure we will be fine! Im doing 3 weeks in NZ, need to make my way down to Christchurch for flight onto Sydney for hopefully upto a year depending on pennies and getting a job!!
Yeah doing south america first for 3 month, mainly volunteering around Brazil and Argentina. Whats your plans? When do you set off?

Ah I'm just a few days behind you then - I'm leaving Santiago on 6th August, so guess will be in Auckland on the 7th. Really not looking forward to that flight!! I'm going to be in NZ until the end of Oct, then heading to Fiji and will be in Australia mid Nov for a couple of months. I head off in March, starting in Rio for carnival, can't believe how quickly it's coming around now!
That's so cool you're going to be staying in Oz and working, I'd love to do that! Maybe next time! What kind of volunteering are you going to be doing in Brazil and Argentina?

I'll be just a little bit behind you both, I'm flying to Auckland from Chile at the end of August and arrive in NZ on 2nd September. I'm travelling with my friend and we plan on getting a WHV for NZ and OZ and just going to stay out there as long as we're enjoying it/spend up.
Starting our travels in March for the Carnival, going to celebrate it in Rio - so excited.

Where are yous going in SA? we are volunteering in a school in Brazil, Para and Arge. Fitting in Montevideo for a few days then off to Chile. Bus ride is 30hours - bet that is a fun trip lol!!
Im so pleased people are doing a similar route, as we seem to be going backwards to what people usually do!! x

I'm also planning on traveling to NZ around September. I don't have firm dates but I'm thinking beginning of September. I'm just concerned about finding accommodation with all the Rugby World Cup events going on! I'm also flying solo and am kind somewhat nervous, but definitely going into this extremely open minded and hopeful to meet a ton of great people! I'm traveling from Toronto, Canada and while my visa is valid for 12 months I'm not sure if I'll stay the entire 12 months. I'm definitely planning on staying for at least 6 months and missing out on the harsh Canadian winter!!
Are you guys flying into Auckland?
