My friend here in Vegas just got 2 free 60 day tourist visas last week from the I would call/e-mail your Thai Embassy/Consulate and tell them you need a 60 day tourist visa. You will have your answer quickly. Thai Immigration is used to farangs that don't speak Thai. You will have no problem if you choose to extend your visa.
