We are going to Boston for a full day on 19th Feb 2011, We don't know what to do in there as my boyfriend want to go there as he heard its brilliant there But I never heard of it! Don't ask! Hee hee!
When I went in the summertime, I liked riding the ferry from downtown (near Faneuil Hall) where all the restaurants and bars are located over to where the US Constitution is docked. Also enjoyed visiting the old Cheers Bar, and Harvard Square is kind of fun. Problem is that you can't do all of these if the weather is bad (and in February it might be). The Old North church where they posted the lanterns that signaled Paul Revere is worth a look--as is Newbury Street where they have thehigher-end and trendy boutiques.
You could also go visit the city of Salem (outside of Boston) to see the museum that has the info about the famous Salem Witch trials.
Harvard Square is just an area of about 4 square blocks located near Harvard University in Cambridge. Lots of small eating spots, bookstores, unusual shops and fairly upscale, with lots of tourists.
