1.Which are the safest and cultured localities for an Indian lady to stay alone with my son?
2.Whether flat,condo or bungalow ,which type would be suitable to maintain privacy as well as experience silence?
3.Can I continue to stay if I wish to pursue any academic course?
4.Does racism prevail in Singapore and if it does please suggest areas where we can mingle with multi cultured crowd as well as compassionate locals.
5.Is it possible to get vegetarian food in restaurants?
6.How much easier is it to get maids and what are the prevailing rates?
7.Which dress code is acceptable while commuting ?
Vegetarian food no problem for Singapore.
If I read your post right you want to live in Singapore. Verify if you can actually move there before you get your hopes up. Check the Visa Requirements first, see how long you can visit for.
Maybe an Indian Expat forum will be more specific for you.

Regarding visa I can stay from 1 to 6 months if i extend it.I am planning to do a short course may be 3 months or 6 months.
What about my other queries?If possible please mail me details like safest localities.In India I am staying in a major city and my neighbourhood is of all professionals and corporate personalities.We respect each other's privacy and there is absolutely peace and silence.In fact it is the best place in our city though bit expensive.
So,Karazyal i am looking for such localities for us to stay in Singapore.If you could assist me fine.

I only stay in Singapore in the touristy areas in hotels in the Waterloo area. I have been there several times over the years though.
I would say Singapore is safer than most larger cities in India. The Singaporeans are very strict with little things like jay-walking for instance! They still cane people there too.
I think your best source is to check with local Indian expats who live in Singapore. Spend a few days in a hotel and check out some areas to live at in person. I wouldn't get an apartment without checking out the area first. Being close to the MRT is a plus!
