Pretty sure V Australia will be your best bet. I flew to the US twice last year and both times they came up cheapest. And I have to add that the planes they fly to/from the US are decked out beautifully - very good entertainment system, decent food and the legroom wasn't half bad either.
But have a look around at some comparison sites and see what comes up!
I would not fly a US carrier - very poor service compared with the competition. V Australia is good and Air New Zealand is also one of the best. In my opinion, the worst airline into AU is United Airlines. The nice thing about V Australia is brand new planes - the B777-300. Go to reviews and read all about the airlines.
A current deal from Qantas for their from the USA
You should give more details of your requirements - departure airport, dates, etc.
By the way, are we talking Australia or Florida???

Hey matey, what you have read so far is spot on. V Australia , qantas and Air New Zealand are your best bet. I fly qantas often to the US and though often seen as more expensive come up cheaper when on sale. V Australia for an ecconomy ticket would be your cheapest overall. If you have the little bit extra to spend qantas premium ecconomy and V Australia is hard to beat for price and service.
Cheers Bevan

Agreed on this - at least out of the airlines I've flown with!
Do you want the most direct service, or a cheaper option with stopovers?
