Hi,
Hey,
I was at my GP for the same thing today, some I am already covered for but I need to go back and get Hepatitis A which will cost me £3.00. I've never heard or Jap Encephalitis, whats that?
I'd maybe have a look online for the jabs you really need, not all of them you will need as it depends what you are doing, how long for and the exact areas. £350 is alot of money.

Hey
I'm having my hep B course at the mo which is costing me about £50. Thphoid should be free on the nhs its valid for 3 years I think. Even with the £50 for hep B £300 sounds a lot for just the two other vaccines
Mind you I was offered the rabies jab for travelling se asia as a precaution and that was £109! I'll just stay away from dogs with foaming mouths I think lol!
I need to look into Jap enceph for myself so will let u know what I find out. Different surgeries have different prices I think depending on the mark up they add on

shorty100: I had Hepatitis A last year and had the booster in the summer and it was all free
Who knows lol

Did your quote include a yellow fever jab? I had mine in NZ (for my trip to South America) and it was around $250, so that could be what's bumping your price up.
I found a place in Bangkok that does travel shots incredible cheap, ~$10 usd for rabies as well as JE for something like $14. Here in the states they want $280x3 per person for the rabies series. I will be going over there long enough I can get the series without have to pay $1k per person.
It seems to depend where you live. I got vaccinations for tetanus, typhoid, diptheria, hep a (including booster after I came home), and hep b (all 3), and they were all free. Rabies would have been chargeable though, if i'd had it.
Other people I was travelling with from other parts of the UK had to pay for some of them, particularly Hep B.
