Hey guys,
me and 3 of my friends are planning trip around Sweeden and Norway. We plan to travel for 12 days and drive 6500km in total.
I did a three years ago, also camping, and sharing driving between three people. We took three weeks for it all, and had to conclude that it really was too much. The first few days were still okay (despite the insanely long day of driving getting into Sweden), but after about the first week we started just not seeing things, because we'd been trying to cram in too much and were tired just from the driving. We took some rest days and modified the route to make it all more doable, then, but I think the damage was already done. (It was a very good trip, but it'd have been significantly better if the balance between driving time and sightseeing time was better. Also note that the speed limit in Norway in 80km/h, and a lot of the time you'll be driving more slowly than that voluntarily, due to gravel roads, roads being very windy, or just the scenery - so distances of "a few hundred km" will take a significant chunk of time.)
Sweden's a great country, and Norway is really insanely gorgeous (I can recommend spending the majority of your time there; especially the Jostedalsbreen, Saltfjellet-Svartisen (take some minor roads to the end of valleys (where there's signs saying that this is no longer public road, and you're now driving on at your own risk) for stunning sights of insanely colored water and craggy peaks all around) and of course the Lofoten), but if I were to do such a trip again, I'd take at least four weeks, and I can really strongly recommend you and your friends to take significantly more than those 12 days, or to do the hard thing and cut half the itinerary, as if you're anything like me, this will just be too much.

Ty for your answer.. could U also tell me where did U get after first week?? before U modified your route?? ty very much
I don't really remember details. We had a number of plans for places to go and things to see along the route (especially on the Lofoten - Trondheim - Alesund stretch, and including some ferry hopping), and I remember that most of that we just dropped, later changing to a schedule of two nights in a location, and then the most direct route to the next location. The google map route I linked to above was our initial plan to get some idea of how we'd drive. There was a much more detailed version with all the specific locations (I think we ran into the limit of how many distinct destinations google maps could show), but I can't find a link to that anywhere anymore.
You might also benefit from (every place we stopped at should be marked on there; a rather limited number compared to what we wanted to do).
(Note my edit of the first post, btw, since you quoted the pre-edit version - especially the information about the speed limit in Norway.)
