First of all, buy a guide book. Thailand is covered VERY well by several publications. It's a very easy country for a first time traveller, no worries.
Secondly, just curious what your first language is...
Have fun.
Cheers,

Thailand is good place where you can visit and have some good places for fun and enjoyment specially outsider and have great attractions for visitors. I have arrange a plan to go here and some other countries in Asia.
Thailand is nice and hot November till April. It costs quite a bit to get there but once there everything is cheap.
You get 30 days visa free on arrival by air so you can spend that wandering around busy Bangkok, to secluded great beaches, to trekking up north in Chiang Mai and so on. Getting around is easy in buses, coaches, trains, budget flights, or short distances, cheap metered taxis.
You can buy most things in Thailand, and often quite cheap (they have Tesco stores there, amongst many others) so don't take too much.
Book your flight fairly early to get a good price (kayak and the like) and don't leave your accommodation till late in the busy season. Try hostelbookers, asiarooms, etc.
Once you decide, you can ask specific questions for more advice.
