I have photos inserted into the body of my text. How do I make my photo gallery also appear on my blog.

You can choose to show the latest photos in yoru blog's sidebar, but I see you have already done that. There isn't currently an option to include a gallery inside your blog posts. The way you have done it - inserting photos in your body of text - is the expected way to do it.
