I am planning a weekend trip to Seattle in mid October and I wanted to find out what area of Seattle for me to search for a Hotel. Also what are the main areas I should visit during my weekend stay, my partner is big into food and wants to go to Seattle to explore the bars and cuisine.
I meant to say what would be the best area to stay and look for a hotel, something centered near the main attractions!! Hahaha
Downtown hotels are very pricey for something nice. You might look at Bed and Breakfasts on Capital Hill (just east of downtown). If you can afford it, the Pike's Place Market area is great for a short stay. Remember that Seattle is very hilly!
Capital Hill is really nice but can also be pricey, but not as bad as downtown. Seattle has a good public transit system so you won't have a hard time getting to attractions. Have you thought about staying outside of the city. There's cute little towns like Polsbo that are lots of fun.
There are many hotels near the airport, and dispersed throughout the city but it's depends on your need and desires.
You can also get some great bargains on apartments (private and shared) at
