Hi all,
"... Please also outline places that I must visit, or activities I must do in each cities..."
I'm always puzzled when people ask this with zero background info... No one on an anonymous travel forum knows anything about you... no one has any clue about your interests, likes/dislikes, etc... honestly, isn't this a question you can better research/answer for yourself? There's a huge difference between a night at the opera and a night at an underground death metal club...
All the destinations you mention are firmly on the usual tourist trail, there are countless entertainment/cultural websites with calendars listing everything that is going on in those cities...
Congrats on the nuptials and have a great trip.
Cheers,
Terry
I have to agree. Preferences and opinion cany vary so much between individuals its impossible to give one hard and fast itinerary, please furnish your queries with some information so we have something to work with.
That said, your general travel plan looks fine to me, and there is certainly plenty to keep you occupied in your choosen destinations.

Hi
I have no comment for your plan actually. It as usual as tourist may go for.
For places and accommodations, you may give another preferences or things you wanna do and see because it depends on individual.
As of my experience in Firenze, last time I stay in the hotel named Hotel club. It just few steps from the train station! I realize that you may travel by train so this hotel is in good location. You can drop your bags right after get out of the train station and walking around in Florence.
By the way, for me 2 days is not enough for Florence but it depends on you.
For some nice restaurants you may ask the staff or local people so you can get the right feeling of local taste. I always done this and get many good experiences more than just choosing from the restaurant ranking website. And also for some interesting places.
Ps. You can check out the information of hotel via booking.com
"Hotel Club"
Good location with good price.
I fell you have done you homeworek but i too agreey with other members posting here. You should only know what you like or not. Better you roam around there and you may get best place to go for and enjoy.
I heard from my friend that Roma is mass all over and it is not very safe for travel. Maybe you can search more info to check if Roma is worth for travel or not.
Europe has lots of cheap flights that time of year to save spending endless hours on trains.
Look at buying tickets online, particularly for Italy to avoid long queues. The Uffizi Gallery in particular (Florence aka Firenze).
To me, Naples and Sorrento were worth one day. Pompeii another day. I saw all I needed of Venice in a day. Not a lot in Switzerland but some like it.
Salzburg is a quick walk around town and little more but Germany deserves several more days, unless you have done it before. Budapest maybe 2 days?
Thank you everyone.
I will do some research on what we want to do in each cities and if I had queries then I will ask all you travel gurus again.
Cyberia-How would you alter my itinerary? I think Venice I will be inclined to stick with the planned days. However if you think "Naples and Sorrento were worth one day and Pompeii another day" then I will consider to cut some days on this one and some others in Switzerland like you have advised to earn some time to go Budapest or Germany as you suggested.Could you kindly highlight the changes you will make to my itinerary and also add on some of the cities of Germany you would recommend us to travel in the given time? Thank you in advance.
Sounds like you've a great trip planned. Personally i wouldn't worry over much about fine tuning it because on a six week stretch a few spare days not chasing the big sights may be just what you need - a chance for a day off so you can then go back to it ready for more rather than getting burnt out.
As for costs, they're mostly expensive destinations on your list. In case it sways the time choices, Czech republic is probably your cheapest destination, if you are able to linger there more, say for a quick breather, and Bratislava is only an hour from Vienna by train but seemed a lot cheaper to stay.
Venice is pricey but yes I wouldn't trim down my time there either. :-)
