Travel advice!!

Hi guys! My sister and i are planning to visit London, UK and Capetown, South Africa next year. But we only have a little knowledge about those countries.
What's the best and also cheap hotel/s to stay-in?
What are some good resto there?
How much do you think will it cost us to stay in each country?(not including the airfare)
I'm from philippines btw. Thank youuu

Hi - and welcome to TP

A little research goes a long way... And questions too general are next to impossible to give qualified answers to... Especially because both places you mentioned have a huge variety of sights, restaurants, hotels and hostels... And nobody on this forum have the faintest idea about what you and your sister prefers to do, how to stay or anything else like that...

Please have a look here first...

Other recommended sites for research are www.wikitravel.org (as a rough guide) and www.tripadvisor.com (for more specific recommendations once would found some places/hotels/restaurants you find interesting)

Enjoy your visits - just don't expect to be able to see everything neither place in one visit

I'd strongly recommend over wikitravel - they're a fork of wikitravel (since that was getting too commercial, too much advertising), and now maintained by the vast majority of the original wikitravel editors, and hosted by the same organization behind wikipedia. It's still 95% the same information, but the 5% new and updated information is primarily found on wikivoyage.

I'd suggest Wikivoyage rather than Wikitravel.

There was a fork, the owners of wikitravel went all commercial, the community of contributors left and looking at the traffic there just now it's overrun by spammers. Wikivoyage is the version that's maintained by the volunteers and is now hosted by the Wikipedia people, and i think it's one of the top sites on the internet.

I had gone to London I spent two years of study I will suggest you to everyone for London there are too many beautiful places like
London museum
National natural museum
London eye
London tower

FOr best travel hotel go for the TripAdvisor and you can find the hotels accoding to your budgets

I'm so pleased to find out about the WikiVoyage, never heard of it before and it's really useful! London can be a bit pricey, last time I went I researched for accommodations using TripAdvisor, but at the end we found a very cheap last minute deal at Ibis Euston. For places to eat, here's a massive list of cheap ones in London: . And if you're looking to also get a bit of the culture, this map have helped me to organize my itinerary: -snip-
