Hi! My partner and I are off round SE Asia and Japan in Feb for about 3-4 months. It's all a little last minute but our jobs aren't secure so we thought we'd jump before we're pushed!
Japan (stupid phone!).
But I don't know how people are so flexible with their itinerary when each border requires onward tickets etc.
What happens if you don't know when you're leaving/where you're going next? I understand visa requirements etc, but we don't want to be stuck to a plan if something better comes along.
I guess I don't understand when travellers say they decide as they go, when all I see at ports/airports/borders are points about needing onward plans before they let you in!
Am I missing the concept? Thanks!
