Wanting to travel to Australia

Hi Guys,

Please stop calling all of us guys. It is shocking to say the least, that traditional sexist language such as calling us all man or mankind has now been replaced by another generic male word for us all.

Hi,
I can understand where you are coming from...however, i am a GIRL, and i always call people, wether they are girls or boys "guys", don't be quick to jump onto people!!!

So far your posts on these forums have said one thing, you obviously have an agenda you wish to be made known. However it also seems that your posts have been pretty irrelevant to the topic of the threads. Hijacking threads for your own agenda is not seen positively - it is simply trolling.

Are you intending on making any posts that are relevant to the topics at hand, which on a travel community website is generally to do with travel?

However, i don't want to travel by myself, i want a travel companion/s. IS anybody looking to go to Australia to travel ( work)? I am wanting to go so much, i am fed up with the UK, need to get out and see sights, see new things! Anybody who is looking at going, PLEASE, comment!

To try and make you feel a bit more at ease, if you don't find anyone before you go then you will often make friends in youth hostels. Australia is a relatively easy country to travel in, and this often goes for finding people to share travel experiences with. Often hostels will have boards where people can post messages looking for travel mates - or it just comes from conversations in the hostel.

Thankyou, can you recommend any Hostels, perhaps any that you have stayed in?

In Sydney there are some really good hostels - the one I've mainly stayed in is Glebe YHA, on Glebe Point Road. Glebe is a great suburb, not that far from the city centre. I'm sure others can also suggest places they've stayed at too - if you want to be near a beach then Coogee is probably a good place to look as there are some hostels there too.

Melbourne also has a number of good hostels if you're looking at finding work there.

I always thought the YHA hostels in Australia were the best.

I am looking at going in April on my own sooo nervous but excited too! Want to travel and work probably work until the weather gets slightly better then do Cairns down the east coast to Sydney, hoping to find a travel buddy before I go aha xx
