Backpacking trip: Thailand,Vietnam,Cambodia

Have a trip coming up to these three places around mid-2014. Any suggestions on places to visit?

Vietnam, many beautiful beaches: Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Con Dao and other sights such as the Mekong Delta, Cu Chi Tunnels, Hue, Hoi An, Hanoi, Sapa, Paradise cave, Phong Nha cave, Ha Long Bay. You can also visit Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, ... from Vietnam by road.
Have a good trip!

Dont miss the angkor wat in cambodia! Been there twice and its awesome!

Only advice is don't try to see too much in a short period of time ... You will regret spending so much time travelling.

I'm here now and was going to see Vietnam etc but now just just Thailand for the month and that's still not enough time

Luang Prabang in Laos is beautiful. I only planned on spending a few days there, and ended up staying much longer than intended due to its sheer beauty! Enjoy your trip. Suggestions above are all great too.

Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, and Many Islands in Thailand. It's a wide range of travel.

Hi there!

SEA Asia is pretty much the most touristic part of the world right now. If you stay in backpackers hostel, you'll surely meet loads of people offering you advices for places to visit,
I haven't been to Vietnam nor Cambodia, but if you want to avoid the tourists in Thailand there are some parts really worth checking out with beautiful sceneries!

Chiang Mai is definitely a gem, but try to get out of it to Pai and Mae Hong Son. Pai is like a small community village in the mountains, full of expats. Mae Hong Son is 3 hours away of Pai with a magical white temple offering a view on the whole valley!

Lopburi, 4 hours North of Bangkok is a city where there's probably more monkeys than humans. They are everywhere and rule the streets!

Nong Khai, on the Lao border, is also a really cool town worth stopping by. Actually, the whole North-East of Thailand also called "Issan" offers really nice landscapes.

If you want some beaches, then head down on the West coast. The Andaman sea is way better than the Gulf of Thailand! Ko Phi Phi, Phuket are quite touristic but other islands like Ko Lipe & Ko Lanta offer great beaches with nobody on it.

Have a lot of fun!

It's easy to get from Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang in Laos by getting a bus or minivan to Chiang Khong and getting the slow boat at Huay Xai to Lunag Prabang via Pak Beng - a two-day, one-night trip. Well worth doing and a good way to meet other travellers. From there you can get toother destinations in Laos or go further across into Vietnam.
