I'm in a similar situation, looking to escape work for a while and Sri Lanka has been on my radar for too long.
Just a short note about me: 30/M, married since May this year (been working on my wife to join me, but she has a hectic consulting job meaning no flexibility), based in Stockholm and originally from China. I've been working for 7 years (white collar jobs for IKEA and Electrolux) and now looking for some beach and relaxing days. I've got a quite flexible schedule as well, and would like to start the third week of Jan. Would this setup suit you?
In general, I'm cool and open and not very peculiar when it comes to travelling, been to 30+ countries so I have a bit of experience.
