Can You Drive From Lima to São Paulo?

I would not drive there. What happens if you break down in the middle of nowhere? Or if you are held up? Or....?

A flight is lots better, but expensive. You can always hire a car as needed.

I will check out that link. The issue is.. .I am driving either way. Just trying to figure out if I HAVE TO go all the way to down to Santiago then over to Buenos Aires.. or If I can just cut straight over.
