- Arriving Mid- November fairly late on a Sunday Evening- two of us. Will be staying at a motel close to Central Ave. & Van Buren for one night- then moving to another address following day. I have TWO questions (please) : 1. Does anybody have any recommendations for SOMEWHERE to grab a meal in THAT area at THAT time of night? and: 2: Is it possible to WALK from an existing LIGHT- RAIL station to the Desert Botanical Garden ? (obviously it is possible to walk from one to the other, but is it possible to walk in a REASONABLE amount of time (say: 30 minutes to an hour) - I have tried to have both questions answered utilizing online searches here and there with mostly vague results. Whatever assistance here is offered WILL be much appreciated. Thank You !

thanks for that Terry. we ended up at seamus mcafferty's plus the crescent ballroom and lodged at the hotel san carlos. bus connection from light- rail to desert botanical garden was a snap. phoenix was awesome and we will be returning. best, k
