Hey guys,

I haven't looked too much into detail about hostels yet, but there are loads about.

I see quite a few people talking about St.Kilda (spelling?)
But I'm down for anywhere pref cheaper price than not.

This one is cheaper and got a better rating

Hostel world is definitely a good site to use my sister used it when she travelled Europe last year

If you use the accommodation link up above in the menu, you'll find all the same hostels as on hostelworld, plus those of hostelbookers, plus a bunch more (mostly guesthouses and hotels, but also some other hostels) from yet another booking site. It also combines reviews from travellerspoint members with reviews from people who booked through hostelworld. Check it out sometimes; quite a good selection this way.
(Here's these same , and the general .)

Hello, I think I'm catching the tail end of this conversation but after a lil bit of poking around on Hostel world and websites like that I've found prices are usually cheaper just booking direct with the hostel. Hostel world will take a cut of the money I think (don't quote me on this I'm a bit of an idiot)
I do think that Hostel World and the likes is great for finding hostels and checking out reviews on certain places but when you compare for example Base, St Kilda in Melbourne, the prices on Hostel world are like £40 dearer than if you book direct with Base. Doesn't sound like much but when you look at it like that could possibly get you another 2 nights in the hostel than you're saving a good amount booking direct.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something or w/e and I don't mean to sound like an asshat about it, so sorry if I am! just something I found while poking about the other day.

FWIW all properties set their own prices on Hostelworld, Hostelbookers, Travellerspoint, etc.

Hey! I'm looking at going Australia and New Zealand . I planned to in February and Heathrow would be my airport of choice as I leave near London lol.
