Hey, so I'm betting there are a lot of questions like this on this website and all over the net "what is the best fruit picking job in Australia?!"...however, I don't really want you guys to search on the net and say 'this place does fruit picking and so does this one'. No, I want your guys' experiences. I want to know people who've actually been to a fruit picking job that they found paid fair HOURLY wages, with accommodation at hostels or something, that I can get to without the use of a drivers licence.
Currently I'm in Queensland staying in the Gold Coast because I was told by a group of morons that this was the place to find work. More specifically Surfers Paradise. Has anyone been? I mean, don't get me wrong this place is booming and the beach is ginormous but it's so busy and touristy that the odds of getting a job not with sales is dismally slim.
So I need a job but I won't be needing the fruit picking job until February. Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction? I can't leave this place until January and then I'm off on my own little adventure up the east coast. And since I'm already moving around before stopping for work I'm not scared to travel that little bit extra to Western Australia or northern australia or even Tasmania.
So guys, if you could help me out with your experiences that would be awesome!
