Hey Perry, Ill be around Bondi and Sydney from 22nd Dec to 14th Jan. I dont have any plans other than the beach xmaas day and somewhere around Sydney for New Year. Think a group of us are just gonna find somewhere free to go as tickets are quite expensive lol. Look me up on Facebook if you like. Make sure your phone is unlocked before you travel and then pick up a prepaid sim in Australia.
That being said, I don't think Australia has data plans as good as I have found in the UK. Check out Amaysim.
If youoare only going for a holiday as opposed to for months use three. Im on a pay as you go plan which is £15 a month and I use here in the uk. You get unlimited date, 3000 text and some amount of minutes and the good thing is you can use this plan in Australia just like you would in the uk. I have previously been to sydney and cairns last feb and never once did my phone not work. The only thing you cannot do is call oz numbers as when you have put £15 credit on you use this to buy a bolt on which means you'll have no credit unless ypu put more than £15 on and you will have whats left.

Yeah, they're cutting through at the moment as a company that offers the best low cost, no fuss data and they use the Optus network so coverage is quite good. Coffs Harbour should not be a problem.
All companies in Australia will either use the Optus or Telstra network. Telstra has the biggest network but they are overpriced.
