Hello to anyone that takes the time to read this
So long story short I have always had a "hippie" mindset and now my boyfriend over the space of a year has gone from a depressing job and being really materialistic to a hippie too. So basically I've just inherited some money so I bought a 30 year old campervan in amazing condition and we are set on travelling around Europe In her, going at the end of November and we have 6 months and around 10,000 as a budget. (Although I'm aware that budget is extreme)
1. Barely, but I've traveled Canada in winter and I'm currently traveling in Europe in winter so might be able to help :p
2. Layers. You have a camper van so that will help with gear - more storage space. I recommend layering up though - temperatures can vary so it'll depend on where you go. I like leggings, tanks & tees and tighter long sleeves that I can throw sweaters or other pants / dresses over as needed. A wide scarf or sarong can be extremely useful: can pull it over your head, use it as a blanket, etc.
3. Depends on where you go, but there will always be options. Especially if you're willing to cook for yourself.
4. In general, yes. Practice normal security precautions and trust your gut - if something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.
5. Yes. You shouldn't have any trouble finding somewhere with a connection most places you go. The speed of the connection might not always been sufficient for a Skype call though.
Other than that, your budget is extreme and probably insufficient for 6 months. Gas alone will eat up a fair bit unless you plan on only going to a few places but staying longer in each. You may want to consider that eastern Europe is generally cheaper than western, Scandinavia is quite pricey as well. I'm also not sure how accessible camper parks are at this time of year, as I'm sure some will shut down for the winter. You will need to stay in these at least some of the time for practical reasons.
10,000 what? Dollars? Euros? Sterling?
If it's dollars that's barely over $50/day which is completely irrational. You'll barely be able to keep fuel in the vehicle and cook your own food for that amount.
You really have to rethink your plan.

In my opinion it's too bad you didn't use your inheritance to break away from the safe/predictable confines of your "developed country comfort zone" and instead escaped to the Indian Subcontinent or SE Asia where your $50/day could translate into a great, comfortable, mind expanding trip...

That's really helpful, I just wanna gather as much information and tips as possible to make the trip as amazing and memorable as possible. I am aware that my budget is extreme and I don't plan on spending all of it I was just kinda making the point that money isn't really an issue because it doesn't mean anything to me its just a tool but if I can spend as little as possible the better, the more money the charities can have
I will bear that in mind too that eastern is cheaper! I have a camper site guide which shows me all the ones closed and open for the winter season so that shouldn't be a problem.

For Europe;
10,000£ is still a tight budget for 6 months of travel. Fuel is expensive in most countries, so is food. Day trip excursions and exploring. I would honestly think that 55£ per day is a bare minimum, even without hotel/hostel costs.
Go for a week long "break-in" trip to test the van, get used to the tight quarters, figure out where everything fits, check your fuel consumption, etc. Do a minimum of 200 - 250 km per day.
I think you'll be astounded at how quickly your initial budget will evaporate, but it'll be a great test run to help prepare you for the real trip.

Hey again, really appreciate your comments and help. I didn't really make it clear on my first post as I'm new to this site and wasn't really sure anyone would actually reply.
I'm not travelling Europe for 6 month straight, the 6 months is travelling Europe and my conservation work so prob gonna be about 3.5 months with £10,000 is this a bit more reasonable?
The money really is purely for food,gas and fuel. I won't really be doing the touristy thing, a lot more meditating and yoga in peaceful places. I'm not a big spender either, I've lived on a commune the past year living of the land so really a camper is a lot more comfort than I need and I don't eat a lot I mainly forage.

I think MapsandMoxie gave you very good advice.
I would like to add that you pay particular attention to the winter weather. Europe is extremely large & some places will have extreme weather. Head as far south as possible or you may be driving a 30 year old camper van through lots of rain & snow. Remember also that the further north you are, the longer the nights will be. Northern Scandianavia & all day there will be just moonlight & street lamps. Make very sure you have very good tires, windshield wipers & headlights..
I assume you are currently in the UK. Try to imagine spending 3 months traveling around in a camper van there some time between Dec & May & answer the five question you posed yourself. It might help.

Okay, that's a completely different scenario than what I addressed and with some basic research (and not hitting high-end restaurants and nightclubs, haha) then it's totally doable.
I still think the best time/money/effort you could possible do is the test run that I mentioned above. You'll learn/discover a huge pile of stuff that you don't want to be ignorant of before you hit the open the road for the real trip.
