So I've recently been granted my working visa for Australia and I'm looking for a travelling partner leaving from the UK. I'm still yet to decide on a leaving date, I'm just looking for anybody else whos in the same boat as me. I'm thinking around April/may time in 2015, any replies would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing off you
I am going in June and travelling up the East Coast for a bit before settling and working somewhere.
I'm thinking of doing the east coast for about 8 months then making way to Perth to see family. Just bricking it a bit going on my own.

That's awesome, yeah I'm probably thinking of starting in cairns on the top right of the east coast and make my way down the Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra etc. I need to book my flights as soon as, hopefully tomorrow. Have you guys booked yet?
See I was gonna do it the other way around? Fly into Melbourne because it's the only place I actually know people, then on to Sidney but probably only spend a few days or a week in each then get maybe an oz experience bus up to Cairns and then when it gets a bit warmer drive back down again and chill out on the Gold Coast for a while? My plan will probably completely change though. Lol. I haven't booked any flights yet.... I'm going to do that in the new year. Have you saved much? I've literally only decided this all in the last week so now have a goal of saving £10k before I leave in may lol. Xxx
The only reason I've started up the top is just from a recommendation from a friend whose recently done the trip, he's said cairns is a good place to start meeting people. I'm hopefully gonna book my flights to cairns today, I absolutely have to get out of the UK. Doing the same mindless stuff everyday is killing me. Ive saved up about 6k to this point, hopefully Il be on about 8/9 by the time I wanna leave. And yeah hopefully do the bus drive down the coast.
Arghh really... God I actually don't have a clue what to do... But I was going to end up in Cairns because I know it'll be one of the warmest places in July/August.
How long are you planning on staying for? Are you planning on working? xxx
I booked my flights today for the 15th of April, so still 4 and a half months from now. I'm hopefully planning on just settling in for the first few weeks then work for a bit, move down the coast to my next destination, chill out for another few weeks then work etc etc. I should imagine that's totally going to change though when I get there and meet people hopefully. Have you applied for your visa yet? Or flights or anything? Would be nice to go with someone and know someone before I get there ?
