In May 2015, me and two of my friends have planned a three week trip to travel about in Thailand. I wish to go travelling for much, much longer and visit many other places. No-one that I know seems to be able to do so, so I have turned to finding someone or a group of people to go with on here.
Stop worrying about having to travel with a pack of people. By FAR the most fun/interesting/coolest/educational/enlightening aspect of travelling is meeting other travellers and locals along the way. Trying to arrange travel buddies before you leave - especially strangers - is an utter waste of time.
Tranquilo and head out for the adventure of a lifetime.

Do some research on visa requirements. Just because you may want to visit for as long as you can doesn't mean you can stay as long as you want without proper visas. Different countries - different visa requirements. Some may require proof of onward travel too.
If you intended to work on these trips keep in mind that some countries do not want foreigners taking jobs away from local citizens. Work permits may be necessary.
If you are traveling on a budget not all countries have the same cost of living. Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan are more expensive for tourists to visit than Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
How much you can do depends on how much money you start with. In Southeast Asia you can often visit nearby countries overland. But if time is a concern there are cheap discount airlines available.
You really don't need other people with you. You do meet other tourists when traveling around.
