Want to travel from california to different national parks

Hi, i want to travel from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and to the different National Parks in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah.. . Looking for someone to join or some advices for traveling to the East. Is there a good bus conection to the national parks? Regards Benedikt.

The USA is not really public transportation 'friendly'. Visiting national parks will be extremely difficult if you do not rent a car. I'm not saying it is totally impossible but I am saying it is really not practical.

Agree with OldPro that renting a car would be your best bet for visiting the national parks in the West. Sharing the cost of a rental car would be ideal. Suggest you rent in Las Vegas, where prices are more reasonable than elsewhere. Go online to check.

If you are unable or unwilling to rent a car, know that bus transportation is available, say from LA to Las Vegas. Bus tours also are available. For example, you can get bus tours from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley; and the five national parks in southern Utah, including Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands and Arches. If you're visiting those parks in Utah, do not miss Dead Horse Point State Park. The view is spectacular.

There are bus tours from other cities to other national parks. Go online to check. You'll find an array of destinations.

Hope this helps.

P.S. To cover short distances, you might consider using Uber or Lyft, if you have a smartphone. I was in Las Vegas earlier this month; and there were stands outside the casinos for Uber and Lyft vehicles to pick up passengers. So renting a car might not be necessary to get around Vegas and other cities. With Uber, there is the ability to select an option to share a ride, which makes the cost even more reasonable than it already is.

you will need to tent a car

I would suggest Amtrak! I am looking to do a solo cross country roadtrip on the amtrak train myself in the near future and it's super cheap for long distances. Getting to the parks from the train stations I don't know very much about though!

Amtrak's route does not correlate well with the location of the national parks Uber and Lyft are fine for in town but again you're going to need a car

We have traveled from Los Angeles to different national parks many times over the last several years. In fact, we just got back last week traveling from LA to Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Every time, we always use the same method: rent a car! In our experience, that's really the best way.
