Printing blog into a book - unable to save HTML webpage

Hi,

When I try to generate a HTML it does work - but then when I try to save this page (of my blog as an HTML) for some reason it won't work and is saving the previous page (the "how do you want this printed?" page with the date options etc). I have tried so many times and it's still not working.

That sounds very frustrating! Which browser are you using to do this? Sounds like something is going wrong with the cache settings of that browser. If you know how to, it might be worth emptying your cache when you're on the print page, but before clicking on the "Generate HTML" button. That has a high chance of then allowing you to save the resulting page okay. Alternatively, you could try a different browser (I just tested with Firefox, and saving works okay for me), though you could also be seeing this due to a proxy server (if you're at work or something...), in which case a different browser wouldn't make a difference.

They suggested trying to send it to them as PDF to see if they can work anything out but unfortunately I can't do this either as I am just getting an error message (at Travellerspoint end).

The PDF generation also works for me, but it does take quite a long time. It's possible your PDF is quite large due to many blog posts, and travellerspoint is simply timing out before generating it finishes. You could try creating a sequence of smaller PDFs (one for blogposts 1-10, the next for blogposts 11-20, etc), and see if that works. The printing company should be able to put them together as a single book/file.

Hopefully Peter can put in some more robust fixes for the long term.
