I am planning a road trip from Jaipur to Mumbai. Which route should I take? Which is the fastest route?
Distance is 1183 kms, so I would take a flight, which is not too expensive if booked early.
Failing that, a train, or if you want to rough it, a bus.

As Terry correctly states above, a flight would be quickest but, if you're planning a road trip, perhaps a flight is not what you want. It's possible on Google maps to plug in Jaipur, Mumbia, directions and it'll come up with a couple of routes (try it!) and suggests that the quickest is via Kota, Ratlam and Vadodara at a little over 17 hours.
If you actually want to see something on the way then a more convoluted route through Ajmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur, with stops in each, could be far more rewarding. Since you're a travel blogger in Delhi, you probably know that already.
