Just a reminder you need to apply for a Tourist Visa BEFORE you leave for the trip!

Hello Jen10,

Thailand is awesome in Dec & Jan. I went there this year in late Jan.
Don't forget to go for snorkeling, diving at Phi Phi Island. Phuket beaches are awesome.
You will find many Europeans there in this season.
Travelling alone is fun, you will make new global friends.
I wish I could accompany you but I have plans for England in Dec.

You need to book a flight and accommodation very soon as that is high season and seats and rooms quickly fill up. Also book internal flights.

You could get a visa exemption for 30 days on arrival, then go to an immigration bureau and for 1900 baht, you will get a 30 day extension on your first visa exemption. It is a fairly easy process which takes just a few hours waiting, and money and passport photos.

Or you can have a few days out of the country (one overnight minimum) and get another visa exemption on arrival back in Thailand. Siem Reap and Angkor Wat, etc are good if you have not been there before. US$30 to enter Cambodia.

remember, day or arrival and day of departure each count as one day,

Hi Jen,

I will be in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore for the whole month of February. I will meet there some friends from England, but I won't stay the whole time with them. I have 2 options for flying there...Paris - Singapore or Paris - Bangkok...I will take the cheapest one...

I'm thinking to do...Phuket plus a boat trip to Phi Phi Islands.
...Ko Samui plus a boat trip to Ko Pha Ngan.
...Bangkok plus probably a bus trip to Pattaya.
...Probably a short visit to Chiang Mai.
...Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

If we cross paths close to this places, you're welcome to join me...

Regards,
Ioan
