Thailand in October

Flowerblossom has indicated that this thread is about Thailand

I would like to explore the north side as well as one of the beautiful islands. Is my first time in Thailand and I have little knowledge of the country in general. Although I have done some researchers.
I'm not interested in partying. More like an active traveler during the day and sleep at night with the occasional night out.
I don't smoke nor drink and I am a vegan although I can indulge with fish now and then.

Look over some of the many posts for solo woman traveler already on this forum. You should find some information you can use.

For October you will have some weather related issues depending on where you are. Tourists visit every day of the year - hot, rainy or less heat - less rain season. Read some of the information on this link. Some specific locations are closer to the bottom half.

Most of the international flights from Europe and N. America first land at Bangkok. Start your holiday there. A beach area and a visit to Northern Thailand Chiang Mai area usually works out okay. My suggestion is to schedule a final night back in Bangkok if that is where you fly home from.

Many women visit Thailand on their own. Transportation is pretty good in Thailand with long distance train and bus transportation available along with discount airlines. Thailand is about the same size in square miles as Spain except for being long and skinny at some points. Google check will give you bus help and train information. (Google up Seat 61 Thailand for train help.)

You might get some requests from guys looking to travel with you, if you are interested first meet them at a safe area like a McDonalds or a mall. Some guys expect you to take care of them so stay safe and keep hotel location private at first.

Forum search. Google search and even a paper travel guide can be helpful. Some old posts have hotel advice too. Take the time to research scams to avoid before leaving on your trip.

Good luck.
