2 weeks is not a long time. Mozambique is big and travel takes a lot of time. Better just to stick to one destination - Inhambane/Tofu or Vilanculous if diving is your main motivation. Ilha de mozambique is worth checking out, theres currently a project to identify shipwrecks suitable for diving on, there are lots of wrecks.
Travel is not dangerous, at least nobody targets tourists so you don't need to feel in danger in airports or bus stations, But there is disruption on the highways. Again better to stick to one area.
By 2017 might all be peaceful again, lets hope.
