I am looking to go to Indonesia around July/august 2010. Will be going for 5 weeks. Has anyone been before?? Anyone going?
I will be going alone which im finding a bit daunting to be honest! Is anyone else planning on going at that time?

Which part of Indonesia do u plan to visit?
Sumatra or Java or Sulawesi or Bali/Lombok area?
Sumatra -> Padang, Bukittinggi, (Lake Toba)
Java -> Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya
Sulawesi -> Manado, Toraja
Bali -> Mount Agung, Kintamani, Kuta, Ubud, -> arts and crafts, beaches, surfing, island hopping,
Lombok -> very nice resorts and clean beaches
Flores -> Komodo island
I don't know how else to help... those are what I can think of at the moment..
Are u really travelling alone? Better to get a companion...
I am Asian and I can speak the local language, even I wouldn't go to some parts of Indonesia alone.
They know when you are new and you might get con.
I am really a low risk person and I would really advise u to find a companion.
If you have any other questions, just ask.. I will help whatever I can..

hi Natasha, i live in indonesia, in bandung to be exact.
i have travel almost at all major island in indonesia (that is sumatera, java, kalimantan, sulawesi, and papua). i have spare time in july/early august.
