slightly confused

hello all,i leave to go traveling in novemeber, thailand,oz,fiji,nz s africa, im going on my own and i dont no anyone who has been traveling before and im finding my planning pretty hard!

I know how you feel, because I'm also easily overwhelmed. I'd say to start with the basics:

Health - your vaccinations/medications and general health and condition for travel (some shots require a waiting period to be effective) I am personally quite healthy and do the minimum - Hep A for food-borne illness.

Money - your savings and the general projected cost of living in each location & your credit & traveling funds - you need to tell your bank(s) of your general itinerary so they will allow credit/debit transactions from a foreign terminal/location (I like using the ATM for debit transactions, but you need to check the area you travel in - check the website of your cr card - they list foreign ATMs - travelers checks useful if no ATM availability)

Visas & Passport

Tickets, Insurance & Confirmation

Itinerary - I suggest you keep it as flexible as possible (don't plan by the hour)

Luggage - I suggest a smaller pack

Clothing - keep it simple, washable and practical

Local Customs - check and list by location

Just start by making a list and prioritize it by date of the things that need to be done

Pre-travel exercise is one area often overlooked and an area that I find very important

(sure I've left a few things out, but that about all my little mind can think of this morning!)
