I travel solo most of the time and have gotten pretty savvy about keeping my stuff safe from robbers. The trickiest situation for me, though, is going to the beach. It's easy when you are with someone to have them watch your stuff while you take a dip but what do you do when you're alone? I keep the stuff I take to a minimum and I have one of those waterproof boxes that's just big enough for money, plastic and maybe my camera. So I've got the expensive stuff protected. Are robbers interested in anything like towels, dry clothes, shoes and sunglasses that I leave on the beach?

Robbers instinctively take anything they can grab a hold on, they don't think much about what they'll actually get. Often times, the unexpected happens, its good to keep things most of the time.
