Hi, this is my first trip to Italy and am a little confused about the whole train system. I arrive in Rome and am beginning my stay in Sorrento. This is what I know:
I catch the leonardo express from the airport to the termini station, these tickets i can buy at the airport and do not need to be pre- purchased.
From Termini I need to catch the train to Naples, here is where I get confused, should this ticket be purchased before I arrive or can I buy the ticket once I get to termini b/c I'm not sure of the exact time I'll be able to catch the train and I don'r want to buy a ticket, not make it in time and then have to buy another one.
Lastly I catch the commuter train from Naples which is downstairs to Sorrento. This ticket I can also purchase once I arrive in Naples.
It is really the Eurostar train that is throwing me off because I also don't want to risk tickets being sold out.
