Yes, you will be fine in Bulgieland.. I'm actually going backwards. I know there is a ferry from Odessa that stops in Varna, but it's a slow ride ... really slow (2days?). I personally .. start in Istanbul, make my way up the black sea coast into Bulgieland, and hop a bus to Bucharest and eventually to Transylvania. I am volunteering there for two weeks, then hitting Budapest and flying to Kiev.
