any one been to malaysia??

Hello there

Hi Keef,

Malaysia is one of the shopping heartland of Asia...! You can visit KL Tower in Kuala Lumpur and may also enjoy dinner in KL Tower's Revolving restaurant. You may also enjoy panoramic city tour of Kuala Lumpur. See the Petronas Twin Towers, King's Palace, National Monument, National Museum, National Mosque and Sultan Abdul Samad Building.
You can also drive to Genting Highlands, a resort entertainment city built on the mountains. Visit the Genting Entertainment theatre for a dazzling show. Late night, you can try your luck at the casino as well. Enjoy unlimited rides at the outdoor theme park in the complex amusement centre, enjoy boat ride, a mini train ride, have fun on the bumper cars and roller coasters.

I have just provided info about Kuala Lumpur as I have been there. There are many other beautiful location in Malaysia that can be explored.

Thanks...!
Gurpreet

Selamat datang ke Malaysia!
Thanks Gurpreet for the fantastic comments!
What Gurpreet mentioned here are just some tourist attractions around Kuala Lumpur area, perhaps I think you can travel out of Kuala Lumpur to see the the true Malaysia.

May I know if you will travel in West Malaysia only? If that's the case, please check out Melaka, Penang Island, Cameron Highlands, Taman Negara (National Park) and Perhentian Island!

If you have more time, perhaps should consider to get yourself a cheap ticket in AirAsia.com and fly to Borneo (Sabah & Sarawak).
There are many exciting things you can do such as:
1. play with Orangutan in Sepilok Rehabilition Centre;
2. scuba diving / snorkeling in Pulau Sipadan (voted as one of the top 5 islands for diving in the world) or Semporna Marine Center (more economical compare to Sipadan);
3. caving in Mulu Caves (The largest cave chamber in the world!);
4. go trekking in Mount Kinabalu;
5. see the largest flower Rafflesia in Borneo!

Hope that helps!

Hello there

traveling to thailand start of november, thinking of going to malaysia, just wonderd if its as good as thailand, and what is there to do out there??? any information would be appreciated

Nothing says you can not visit both places. With UK passport you can enter both countries pretty easy. There is a train that goes from Singapore all the way through Malaysia on up to Bangkok. You can even get discount airplane rides. Both countries have something good to see and experience. Both places have beaches you can use. I preferred Penang over KL because it is cheaper.

If Malaysia is as good as Thailand or not depends on what you intend to do. If partying is high on your list with cheap alcohol and lots of nightlife then Thailand is better. Malaysians go to Thailand for the nightlife, especially to Hat Yai.

Good luck.

Thankyou for ur feedback
