What kind of experience would you like in Australia? You're travelling up the east coast from Melbourne in summer some options are:
- The Snowy Mountains - no snow in summer but you can take the chairlift from Thredbo and hike up Mount Kosciuszko
- Jervis Bay - beautiful white sand and beach to relax on
- Heron Island/Keppel Islands
- Undara Volcanic park

Around Sydney you can visit Cronulla and Woollongong. GReat surf in there aswell if u r into it.
Going up there are a lot of stops to do: Newcastel, Ballina, Nimbin (hippy village, a bit away from the coast, but worth to visit, lovely cookies), Bayron bay, uffff, you'll love it for party.
In Ballina you can watch whales, it 's very frequent to observes whales passing by.
Go to Frasier Island driving a 4x4 wheel drive. It's amazing with its Mackenzie lake.
Don't miss withsunday islands with its white beaches. spend 3 days in catamaran with other people. It's a must.
Basically mate, visit all OZ.
