Hey, landing in sydney on the 26th on this month. Already booked hostel for the first few days. I'm heading over there with 2 other friends. We are looking to buy a car for the rest of the trip, to have more freedom. One of my friends is coming back first week of december so we are only going to be two after. So if anyone is going to be in sydney around that time let me know, maybe we could meet up and do a little road trip.

Well once we leave sydney we had planned on heading to blue mountains than Bondi beeach most probably. The first month will consist of more touristic activities because my friend is only staying a month, so she wants to see as much as possible but after that. We and my friend are probably going to start looking for work. Do you have any specific plans?

My plans are similar with yours to start. I arrive in Oz on Nov 5th with my sister. She will be with me for 2 weeks so we're gonna try to cram as much as we can. Then she heads back to Canada on Nov 19th. After that, I'll be just winging it by myself. I do plan to look for work but I'm not entirely sure where right now. I might be able to get a job in Byron Bay since my buddy has a connection there but it doesn't really matter. From what I'm told, Sydney costs more to live in so I'd be up for going somewhere else to settle down and work.
How long are you going to be in Oz for? Do you have your visa?

Wyatt I have my work holiday visa for one year, planning on staying in oz till middle may. Not sure if I wanna work more in the beginning and save up and then head out to see the sites or get work as opportunities come along. Basically going to see what happens once i'm there.

Have you booked your hostel yet? I want to book it soon but I'm still researching which hostel in Sydney is the best bang for the buck.
I agree, once we get done with our respected mini trips, we should meet up and discuss a posible route or plan of action. As for the hostel, I booked at the chiliblue backpackers for 4 nights. I read a lot of reviews and this one seemed the best for the price plus it's in a good location. Anyways let me know where you end booking.
I'm in Melbourne now, will be flying to Sydney in 5 weeks or so and then looking to buy a car and travel up the east coast... we could get a convoy going at this rate!!
