Hey I'm 27 and will be heading to oz end of June next year on my own never done this before either nothing booked up yet either so ur not alone .

My heads pickled with it all at the min! Trying to find the cheapest visa, flights etc. Havent got a clue where to start!
Are you just going to oz or you going other countries as well?
Hey I am also in a simliar position to you Becky, I am 27 will be 28 by the time I travel. First time I have trvalled solo and I have got to the stage where its now or never (only going for a month though).
I think I am travelling Feb-March been looking at flights/visa then going to sort my accomodation out.
I have been checking flights out used Sta travel as a starting point but also going direct to companies. Being flexible with flights ie midweek it seems to drop the price.

You won't have a problem meeting anyone! I did the same trip two years ago when I was 30 (having never travelled before), and it was easy, age isn't an issue when you are travelling.
It is easy to book into hostels, I just did it as I went round, get your visa direct from the Australian Government website, it is easy and cheaper than going through an agency.
I got my flights with Round the World Experts as they allow you to change dates of flights for free.
Make sure you leave enough time to see New Zealand as it is a fantastic country, and has far more to offer than Oz (just my opinion!) and Fiji is almost paradise!

Yeah i have been looking at them. They have a branch in Birmingham so im thinking of popping in to get some prices. Need some professional advice as i havent got a clue what i'm doing!

Do i need a visa to enter NZ since i will only be travelling? i have heard its amazing.
As long as the money lasts i have all the time in the world! Even considering coming home at the end of my trip and getting a working visa for NZ and going back for a year if i like it!
No you will get a 6 month visa on entry I think to New Zealand, and it is an amazing country! So much to see and do, and the people are so friendly

No need to return home for that; you can apply for a New Zealand WHV from anywhere in the world (unlike the Australian WHV you can even do so when already in New Zealand, though that does come with extra hassle).
Just going to see how it gose in oz then prob travel on my way home I think not sure yet got plenty of time to decide want to travel about but oz will be my starting point
