Trip to India and Nepal March and April 2012

Hello,

Hey Rose!

Darn, I plan to be in India and Nepal from the months of May and June. I plan to do the 14 day hike to Mt. Everest base camp. Are you set for your dates in India and Nepal?

Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your reply. In short, no. I'm flexible within March and April about where I can be but I can't really delay when I go. I fear I will fritter away the money I've put aside. Also I'm very fair skinned and want to be in India before it starts to get seriously hot! It's a shame we'll miss each other!

I'm considering EBC for trekking. Also the Annapurna region appeals. Were you thinking of visiting similar places in India and have you been before?

Hi Rose,

I am based at India & an IT outsourcing & travel management consultant. I am a frequent visitor to all the exotic tourist destinations in India & Nepal. Keep in touch.

Best,

Sridhar

Is it that hot? haha I've never been to India/Nepal!

Have you decided which company you plan to go with on your trip to EBC? I'm still doing research on the various companies and trying to find a buddy because it's cheaper if I am not the only client with a sherpa.

Hi Rose,

I been in India last December and I stayed in Pink City Jaipur. I think the first thing you have to visit in India is Taj Mahal (your trip in India is not complete without visiting this amazing palace), be there as early as possible not only because a lot of tourist and locals are visiting Taj Mahal but the sunrise in Taj Mahal is a must see (according to some local there) though i didn't have a chance to arrived there before the sunrise but it's worth it.

Pink City Jaipur is really amazing people are friendly and helpful and since Indians can speak and understand English it's easy for tourist to communicate and asked for directions.

the food is also good i am not a fun of spicy food but i enjoy the food a lot in India.

Hope you enjoy your trip

Regards,
Riza

Hi Rose,

26 year old male Singaporean here. Will be travelling to India from 24th of Feb till 24th of April.

I will be spending 3 weeks in Dharamsala on a volunteer program before heading to Jaipur in Mid-March. Followed by Jaisalmer. Back to Delhi for a day or 2 then to Kolkata (ETA early April), Siliguri, New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling.

It will be great be we can meet up in one of these places and swap stories!

Ram

Hello Rose..

If you are planning to visit Nepal then end of Feb and March is the best time. You can explore clear himalayas and view from country side too...as per the price of trekking in Annapurna (its medium level) it depends upon the services you use. Some complete cheaper where as some pays more for it...

Regards..
Dullar
