I am looking for a way to see alot of countries in a relatively short space of time while keeping costs to a minimum.
I doubt that any Polish car hire company will let you take their car out of the country and leave it in another country.
Maybe a train?

Hi, thanks for replying.
I wouldn't want to do it by train simply because the car gives flexibility to stop and sight see in all of the mentioned countries rather than ploughing through with only a change at Vilnius according to the thread you linked.
I was under the impression that taking a rental car from one country to another was possible if using an international rental company anyway but that it incurred charges.
Poland and the Baltic States are visa-free for British citizens, but you'll need a visa to visit Russia or Belarus. They are all in the EU as well, so you should have no problem with border crossings with your car, until you get to Belarus or Russia. Better check if the rental agency will let you take the car across the border, though.
