Vietnam airlines.. anygood??

Found cheap ticket with Vietnam airlines.. are they anygood??

I flew with them twice when I was in SE Asia and thought they were fine. I think they've got a pretty good reputation and safety record. Laos Airlines is the one to avoid!

lol ok thank you, ill remember to avoid laos airline's.

Lao Airlines has fully recovered from the old days - now it's quite a respected, safe and comfortable way to travel.

Vietnam Airlines is just fine for short haul service, but I would avoid them for anything long haul to Europe or Australia (just not terribly comfortable when compared to other large Asian (non-mainland Chinese) carriers). I personally travel on Asiana Air of Korea, but there are many good ones: Singapore, Cathay Pacific, Malaysia, ANA (Japan), EVA (Taiwan), Thai.

For domestic travel in Vietnam, you have your choice of 4 airlines: Vietnam Air, Jetstar Pacific, Vietjet Airlines and Air Mekong. Jetstar Pacific is the one I avoid - too many delays for me.

im flying from london uk to thailand.

was looking for cheapest flight possible, long haul from london to bangkok, vietnam airlines came up, is it worth spending an extra £60-80 for another airline???

If you found cheap tickets then you're a miracle worker!!
I really wanted to book a ticket to Vietnam with them, but they were so expensive. Double check that you have taken into account the tax cost. Because it was £600 for me, then when the tax was added it was £900! That is a big jump!!

jesus.. yea bit of an add on! flight was £426.. just contacted them, sold out, next cheapest to bangkok is with qutar, £563.. tax included

Are you booking online? You save quite a bit over the phone booked tickets! Tell us what dates you want, and we might be able to help.
