Hi all
Way too fast for my style, but perfectly doable if that's your thing.
Have fun.
Cheers,
Terry
Thanks Terry...thought it might be a bit too much, if you had to narrow them down, which ones would you recommend be the best?
Honestly, that's a question only you can answer at this point... you know your interests, likes/dislikes and style of travel better than anyone... there's a big difference between someone who wants to see opera and someone who's into an underground death metal club or someone who wants to party hard and someone who wants to get to the museum early to catch the first tour. There's also the huge difference between city lovers and people who are into nature.
Have fun with your research.
Cheers,
Terry
Hey,
Yeah i agree with Terry regarding your preferences, personally i'd drop a day off Amsterdam, 3 days is enough for Barca, maybe consider Paris also.
I don't think your itinerary is too rushed, you've allowed some flights, plus you have allocated a couple of Islands at the end of the trip where down time could be had if required, so hectic, yes, too much, no.
Do some research and planning and have a blast.
Good Luck,
Andy
Barca is really a nice place with many old history building, it is a city of art. you have enough time to travel amazing places in europe, i think paris is also the unique places with romance you should not miss.
For anyone's information, whether interested or not, 'Barca' is a shortening of the name of a football club, or means boat or was an ancient city in Africa. Barna is a shortening of Barcelona and the use of barca in this way may cause offence if used in conversation in Barcelona or Catalonia.
you can spend 6 week in these places,
London
Berlin
Madrid
Rome
Paris
Barcelona
some good spots - la tomatina is crazy, be prepared for loads of recovery time after that festival - boiling hot, too much alcohol and tomato-based injuries! My recommendations for italy would be to avoid pisa - it is really not worth it, not sure about florence...but my favourite place in italy is naples - you are then close to visit amalfi coast and climb mount vesuvius , its only 2 hours south of rome and naples is really cheap. I met some girls that did a train trip from barcelona up south coast of france and then into italy - i think that would be more amazing than visiting athens (my least favourite city). but you could visit marseille and montpellier and nice - really great cities to visit.
Last year my sister came for 2 weeks and We did rome (3 days - flight from london), 2 days naples, amsterdam 2 days (flights), train to paris, paris 4 days then train to london 4 days. remember if you fly you have to pay extra to load your backpack and waste heaps of time at airports. I did a full train/bus trip from athens up to st petersburg and visited 12 countries in 6 weeks - sometimes was a bit too fast in some cities!
